Job summary The Surgical Admissions Lounge at the Wythenshawe site of Manchester Foundation trust are currently looking to recruit a band 6 sister/charge nurse to our elective surgery admission department. This exciting opportunity is open to band 5's that are aspiring to take the next step and learn new skills. Current band 6's and 7's are also welcome to apply to join our welcoming team and department.Our general surgical directorate has a reputation for the highest standards of clinical care. Main duties of the job We are looking for a suitably experienced nurse who is passionate about patient safety and the delivery of exceptional quality care to our elective surgical patients. You will be an aspiring leader with the ability to adopt a highly accessible and visible approach for patients, relatives and colleagues. You will assist the department manager with the operational management for the team working within the department. You will have the ability to develop a culture of continuous improvement with a particular emphasis on the patient journey and clinical outcomes.
