A client within the Public Sector based in the Northeast is currently recruiting for a Building Surveyor to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a housing repairs environment.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to be responsible for conducting on-site inspections of reported defects, diagnosing building issues, and coordinating repairs. This role is essential in ensuring timely resolutions to property defects, including damp and mould management.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Inspecting residential properties to diagnose defects and determine appropriate remedial actions.
Identifying causes of water ingress and implementing solutions to prevent damp and mould.
Ordering materials and arranging necessary equipment to facilitate work completion.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, including asbestos awareness and working at height procedures.
The Candidate
To be considered for this role, you will require:
HNC or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
CSCS Card
Asbestos awareness training, working at height training, and manual handling training.The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
Strong knowledge of building defects and repair techniques.
Ability to assess and manage risks associated with damp and mould.
Experience working within a local authority housing environment.
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such is offering £26 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £21 per hour PAYE).
