Wickhambrook Surgery has a new and exciting role available, due to maternity and forthcoming retirement, for a trainee dispenser to join their busy team. This position not only offers the opportunity of great career, but t he successful candidate will be able to complete a dispensing NVQ with us. This position is offered on a part-time basis of 20-24 hours. The role will initially include the following duties; Receiving stock orders. Stock rotation and refilling of shelves. Prescription fulfilment. Serving patients, giving out medication, dealing with queries. Adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) at all times. Once these tasks are seen to be carried out to a level of excellence at the completion of the probationary period, the right candidate will move on to dispensing, and the completion of an NVQ2 dispensing certificate. The pay rate will increase once the qualification has been completed. Everyone in the team takes a share in providing cover for colleagues' holidays/sickness so flexibility is essential. Awareness of patient confidentiality will be key, together with a professional manner and be smartly presented. The successful candidate will: Have experience of working in a busy, public environment. Demonstrate good team working and communication skills. Be flexible to provide a share of staff cover for colleagues. Be IT literate with good keyboard skills. About Us We are a small practice based in Wickhambrook, nestled in the countryside between Haverhill, Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds, Sudbury and Clare. Personal transport is essential as bus links are infrequent but we are accessible by a good road structure. We have a happy, friendly team consisting of 3 GP partners, GP registrars, nurses, and HCAs who are all supported by experienced and organised admin and dispensing teams. We are also supported by colleagues from our primary care network (West Suffolk Rural PCN), who provide services such as physiotherapy, life coaching and wellbeing.
