Role Responsibilities
* Leading company audit assignments, including planning, fieldwork, and completion, using standard programmes
* Preparing and completing company accounts in line with the firm’s policies and procedures
* Conducting specialist audits, such as SAR, ATOL, pensions, and charities
* Carrying out ad-hoc assignments, including due diligence and systems reviews
* Preparing corporation tax computations
* Supervising, training, and mentoring junior staff members
* Researching and analysing financial statements and audit-related issues
* Interacting proactively with client management to gather information, resolve issues, and recommend business and process improvements
* Managing assignments and reporting progress to the audit manager or partner

Candidate Requirements
* ACA or ACCA qualification or be a finalist
* Experience within a multi-partner practice, including audit exposure
* Strong technical knowledge and experience in statutory audit, bookkeeping, and statutory accounts preparation
* Excellent analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
* Proven leadership and mentoring abilities
* A proactive and motivated approach with the ability to manage multiple assignments within budgets and deadlines
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Sage, Xero, and other accounting software; experience with CCH would be an advantage
* A valid driver’s license and access to a car for client travel
* Up-to-date technical knowledge of current legislation
