Hampton Court House is an award-winning independent co-educational day school for ages 2 – 18, educating children in Pre-Nursery to students in Year 13. The majority of our 300 pupils elect to stay on to complete their full education with us, enjoying great success in their GCSEs and A Levels. Position: Director of Music (Maternity Cover)
We seek a passionate, energetic and qualified teacher and Director of Music for our Prep School. Hampton Court House values the Performing Arts. The Music department works closely with the Dance, Drama and Art departments to produce a range of performances, and prospective candidates can expect to be part of a thriving and supportive team.
Responsibilities:
1. To develop and promote extra-curricular activities in Music.
2. To be jointly responsible for the staging of concerts and for the musical contribution to other important whole school events such as evening recitals and musical productions.
3. To plan, deliver and assess Nursery through Year 6 curriculum.
4. To lead and inspire the learning and teaching of music in the Senior School.
5. To lead on promoting the subject and ensure it is thriving throughout the school.

3. A fascination with the many varied and different methods of challenging and inspiring children and teenagers both inside the classroom and outside.

The role will report to the Director of Performing Arts. This is a maternity cover position with the possibility to extend to a permanent role. The role is part time (0.6).
