My client provides design and installation of mechanical, electrical and plumbing services throughout the northwest. They are looking for a Credit Controller based in Liverpool.
Key Skills & Competencies
Solid experience in credit control, within the construction industry
Strong understanding of CIS regulations and processes.
Experience with subcontractor control, and RCV regulations.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
Experience using CIS software. Key Responsibilities
Credit Management:
Monitor and manage client accounts to ensure timely payments.
Regularly review aged debtors and take proactive measures to reduce overdue accounts.
Subcontractor control including maintenance of reports and reconciliation, as well as preparing. mid month and end of month payment run.
Weekly review of amounts outstanding to ESD.
Maintaining up to date subcontractor insurance documents. CIS Compliance:
Verify subcontractor details in line with CIS requirements.
Ensure accurate deductions and payments under the CIS scheme.
Submit CIS returns and maintain up-to-date records for audit purposes. Debt Recovery:
Issue monthly sales applications and valuations, reminders, and statements to clients.
Chase outstanding payment certificates.
Timely turnaround of payment certificates and reviewing M&E split.
Chasing final accounts both internally and externally. Reporting:
Prepare regular reports on credit control performance, outstanding debts, and CIS compliance.
Updating key reports regularly.
Provide updates to management regarding high-risk accounts Stakeholder Communication:
Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile accounts.
Liaise with clients and subcontractors to resolve disputes and discrepancies.
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Hours of Work
Monday to Thursday 8am - 5pm
Friday 8am - 4pm
Part time (32 Hours) Considered
Above start & Finish times can be flexible for the right person.
