Job Summary
The Materials Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless product preparation and timely shipment to customers. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities
* Process 'goods out' for shipping, verifying accuracy and completeness of documentation.
* Pack orders for shipping in accordance with relevant legislation, ensuring safe and secure transit.
* Efficiently process 'goods in,' maintaining accurate records and data.
* Monitor stock levels, implementing tight inventory control using FIFO principles to prevent obsolescence.
* Maintain the safety and security of stock and products within the warehouse environment.
* Liaise with the Operations team regarding discrepancies or quality issues identified during goods in/out and stock control processes.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, adhering to company policies on security and preservation.
* Participate in day-to-day warehouse activities, assisting the company in achieving its operational objectives.
Requirements
Knowledge:
* Proficiency in the goods in/out process, purchasing process, stock control methods, shipping methods, legal & statutory requirements.
* Familiarity with MS Office software applications.
Skills & Competencies:
* Excellent communication, numeracy, and literacy skills.
* Strong organizational skills, with ability to work efficiently under deadlines.
Qualifications and Certification:
* Holding a full UK driving licence.
* National 5 Pass in English & Maths (or equivalent).
* Valid Forklift certificate.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team.
