As a Development Editorial Assistant, you will:
* Assist the Head of Higher Education Development and Development Team with administrative tasks related to freelancers, to include budget checks (in line with project parameters), paying invoices, carrying out compliance-checking procedures for new freelancers, and raising contracts for new projects.
* Provide SAP support to the Development Editors and IOC Assistants, checking vendor accounts, creating new vendors, and raising purchase requisitions.
* Co-ordinate the endorsements process alongside the IOC Assistants, focusing on priority and timing of production schedules.
* Carry out any other duties which may be reasonably expected of you by your immediate manager or a senior director.
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent, with an interest in pursuing Higher Education textbook publishing. You should be an excellent and authoritative communicator, both in speaking and writing. Good IT skills, especially proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel are also essential. Previous office experience would be an advantage, as would any previous experience with databases and/or finance systems.
