Location: Ipswich & Felixstowe, Suffolk (split 50:50)

Hours: Monday – Friday
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract: Temp to Perm
Key Responsibilities as a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant:
Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the SEN Coordinator and class teachers in both Ipswich and Felixstowe, Suffolk.
Implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and monitor pupils' progress as a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant across both locations.
Provide one-on-one support to children, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment in Ipswich and Felixstowe.
Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for each child in Suffolk.
Encourage pupils with autism to navigate their educational journey confidently and successfully in Ipswich and Felixstowe.
Support the planned extension of services to Key Stage 2 as a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant.
Contribute to the inclusive ethos of schools in Ipswich and Felixstowe, creating a welcoming environment for all learners.
Uphold the values of the schools, ensuring children with autism receive personalised, nurturing care in Suffolk.
Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant Skills & Requirements:
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably within an SEN environment.
Knowledge of autism and effective strategies to support children with this diagnosis in Ipswich and Felixstowe.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with pupils and staff in both locations.
Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to solving challenges as a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant.
