Job Description
We currently have an exciting new opportunity for an Assistant Manager to join our Housing Related Support Service in Hull, on a permanent full-time basis.
The main responsibilities include:
* Ensuring high quality delivery of housing and support to Humbercare customers which is in accordance with contractual and statutory requirements, internal and external quality standards, and relevant social and housing policy
* Assisting and deputising for the Service Manager in delivering their responsibilities in accordance with regulation and best practice within Humbercares services
* Leading, motivating and managing the staff team in the services for which you are responsible
* Leading on and identifying gaps and improvements in service provision and bringing these to the attention of senior managers and find solutions to meet identified needs, to achieve continuous improvement and high professional standards
Requirements:
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
* Experience of effective leadership/coordination of services/projects
* A sound understanding of the social housing environment including emerging government policy, welfare benefits and housing entitlements
* Knowledge of person centred, strength-based approaches to support and care planning
* Experience of working in a social housing or similar environment along with knowledge of local statutory and voluntary agencies.
* Ability to deal with difficult situations with tact and diplomacy
