Lead .NET Developer (ASP.Net, .Net Core, C#, SQL Server) - REMOTE - £80,000 Negotiable - Remote working (with bi-monthly meetups - travel etc. covered), flexible hours, 25 days holiday + 8 days bank holiday.
The Opportunity: Take technical ownership of a business' key core product. Make it user-friendly and begin to transition to a more web-based solution.
The Role: This is a brand new opportunity to join a reputable business that has seen significant growth over the last 12 months. You will work on an enterprise-scale product with over a million lines of code, primarily on the backend. The product is an internal bespoke system developed by a third party, which you will eventually own and manage. This role is ideal for someone looking to take technical ownership without line management responsibilities while remaining hands-on with the code to ensure maintainability and scalability.
You will work in a small, family-oriented team of 5 developers, reporting to a development manager who has line management responsibilities. You will have full ownership of the product and technical decision-making. The current solution is complex, and they seek someone capable of modernizing it and integrating it with other systems. Technical lead experience is essential, and your background should be between a Technical Lead with some knowledge of architecture. The codebase is in good condition, and you will work with the team to transition the solution to a cloud-based SaaS model.
Technical Skills Required:
1. ASP.Net
2. .Net Core
3. C#
4. SQL Server
5. HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
*Note: The current product is written in a mixture of .Net technologies from 4.6+, including some clusters in .Net 9. They plan to move to .Net 10 next year.
Company Culture: This company offers a family-feel environment where everyone's opinion is valued and respected. You'll work within a small team, with a third party functioning as an extension of the existing team, demonstrating their collaborative core values. You will be encouraged to push forward with the technical direction of the product, make suggestions, and engage with the code. They operate on an 'outcome over hours' basis, treating everyone as adults as long as the job is done.
