Job Description
As a Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in the construction team, responsible for developing and maintaining cost plans and cost estimates for projects. You will work on projects from inception through to completion, managing project budget and ensuring value for money.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and maintain cost plans and cost estimates for projects.
2. Manage all contract communication, including Early Warnings, Project Manager's Instructions and Compensation Events, and accept/reject Contractors' Notifications.
3. Manage disputes/potential disputes through negotiation, collaborative working, and escalation.
4. Support the tendering and evaluation process, including the selection of appropriate procurement strategy and contract, and production of pre-tender estimates.
Requirements
* Proven track record of experience in a commercial or contract management role within the construction or infrastructure sectors.
* Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant engineering, construction, or business-related field.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Full working knowledge and understanding of using web-based contract management tools.
