The post holder will report to central government, senior local authority managers and local partners and stakeholders on progress whilst ensuring that targets are met and the programme is delivered within budget and in line with relevant regulations and public sector duties. At peak, the programme will support at least 1300 Cheshire and Warrington residents per year. Promoting the programme within this area will be a key part of the role to ensure that take up of employment support is as expected. The post will be based in Cheshire West with some remote working but there will be a requirement to travel across the whole of Cheshire and Warrington to meet with partners, suppliers and programme beneficiaries. Key Responsibilities: Programme Design and Implementation: Develop and oversee the Connect to Work Programme, ensuring it is set up for success and meets the expectations of residents, partners and stakeholders. Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships between three local authorities, external providers, employer networks and community organisations. Governance and Compliance: Develop and implement the programme's governance framework, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Budget Management: Manage the programme's budget, monitoring expenditure and ensuring cost-effectiveness, reporting back to funders. Team Leadership: Lead and manage the programme team, ensuring effective allocation of resources and successful delivery of programme objectives. Monitoring and Reporting: Proactively monitor programme progress, resolve issues, and report on performance to senior management, funders and stakeholders. About You: Experience: Proven experience in programme management, particularly in employment or skills development initiatives. Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills. Ability to manage complex projects and work collaboratively with diverse partners and stakeholders, with excellent presentation and report writing skills. Knowledge: Understanding of employment policy, supported employment models including SEQF and IPS, and the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities and long-term health conditions.
