What skills and experience we're looking for
• Has an outstanding all-round knowledge of IT hardware and software (an appropriate IT qualification is desirable);
• Has over three years’ IT experience;
• Holds a full and clean driving license;
• Has strong interpersonal and communication skills and is able to work with pupils and staff with varying IT expertise (previous experience working in a similar client-facing role would be an advantage);
• Is self-motivated, dedicated and consistent;
• Is a strong team player, able to use their own initiative;
• Has a positive and flexible attitude;
• Has the ability to deal with new challenging situations;
• Has proven leadership skills (advantageous);
• Is able to work independently for all level 1 and level 2 issues and escalate all level 3 issues to the Senior Technicians;
• Can maintain the integrity and security of the IT systems;
• Can support with diagnostics, troubleshooting and implementing solutions to improve IT equipment, usage and skills.

Acorn Education Trust is looking for a dedicated and experienced IT Technician, starting as soon as possible, to join our dynamic team and provide IT infrastructure support across our Wiltshire-based Primary schools.
Working Hours: Full Time (37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year).Required: ASAP.
At Acorn Education Trust, we pride ourselves on transforming education locally, with our two nurseries, sixteen primary and four secondary schools being at the heart of their local communities. As we expand, we are increasing the capacity of our IT team and the appointed IT Technician will be expected to provide technical support to students and staff across our Primary school settings.
Successful candidates will report to the Trust Head of IT and be primarily based at one of our education hubs in the Warminster, Trowbridge or near Amesbury areas. The role will involve travel between sites so a driving license is essential.
