Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Estates & Property Services Department for an Estates Maintenance Technician - Specialist.
The successful applicant will be an experienced electrical, mechanical, or plumbing tradesperson who has completed or is working towards multi-skilled training and several specialist healthcare-related courses.
This role involves providing reactive and planned maintenance on various plant and equipment across the Board area. It also includes calibrating and validating sterilisation and decontamination equipment, maintaining associated plant, and keeping accurate records.
The successful candidate is expected to assume the role of Competent Person (Decontamination).
Applicants should have completed, at minimum, a recognised electrical, mechanical, or plumbing apprenticeship, and be willing to work towards or already hold a City & Guilds qualification in decontamination equipment.
A flexible approach to work is essential, as the role may require working outside standard hours, participating in shift work, and being part of an out-of-hours on-call rota.
