We are looking for an experienced Cleaning Supervisor to work with a range of Mitie clients to manage a cleaning team, including recruitment and development of staff and maintain excellent service standards for the delivery of routine planned and periodic cleaning for a Mitie customer.
You will be responsible for the delivery of routine planned and periodic cleaning. You will ensure that the cleaning staff understand and work to task schedules while following the correct Health & Safety procedures by providing technical training as and when required. You will distribute uniforms, monitor standard of cleanliness and the use of materials and order stocks as necessary. You will deal with any issues efficiently and in a professional manner, referring to line manager where appropriate.
The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory and cleaning experience. They will have good communication skills, be reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude and they will be able to work to a schedule on their own initiative.
1. To perform any reasonable task as requested by the Manager
2. To ensure that all tasks are carried out in the correct manner, following any ‘safe systems of work' & risk assessment' directions.
3. To comply with all statutory GSK & Mitie Health & Safety regulations.
4. To comply with all statutory GSK & Mitie site rules & regulations
5. To comply with all GSK & Mitie security regulations for cleaning materials, equipment and buildings.
6. To provide high personal standards of work /performance, personal hygiene and appearance.
7. To report any complaints / incidents of accidents, fire, theft or loss, damage or any other irregularities and action if practicable
8. To attend and complete all Mitie meetings and training courses as requested.
9. To complete all GSK My Learning Curricular Requirements
10. Flexibility is required within the role to cover areas where trained in times of sickness / holidays
11. Induct and provide training to the Cleaning team as required.
12. Provide specific training on equipment, cleaning practises and use of chemicals to the Support Services Team on site.
13. Manage the holidays and absences allocation of the Cleaning Operatives to ensure that adequate coverage is available and that cleaning standards are not reduced.
14. Assist and liaise with the Service Support Manager/Site Manager in the selection of suitable cleaning operatives.
15. Allocate cleaning duties and areas to Cleaning Operatives ensuring that all areas of the site are maintained and meet the needs of the contract and any relevant SLA's.
16. Act quickly to deal with unacceptable staff behaviours and documenting thoroughly to allow progression upon repeat incident
