Would you like to be part of our winning team? Murphy Geospatial are expanding our in-house BIM team and are looking for a Modelling Coordinator / BIM Coordinator to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous experience in a similar role, or a Senior Technician looking to develop into a more Coordinator role. The successful candidate will be based primarily from our North London Watford office, with the opportunity for remote / hybrid working, and will be reporting directly to the BIM Manager. What will I be doing in my new role? Oversee and coordinate the production of detailed survey BIM models, primarily in Autodesk Revit, from point-cloud datasets. Advise the modelling team on best practice in line with company standards and the project scope; answering all technical modelling queries from production staff. Manage numerous projects simultaneously, with a focus on organising and prioritising ongoing assignments. Provide frequent updates to all relevant parties; proactively identifying and addressing any issues to ensure project objectives are met without exceeding financial constraints. Be the client point-of-contact on assigned projects for all programme and/or technical queries. Onboard the dept supply chain on to a project, ensuring all timelines, costs, and scope items are within the project expectations. Lead the quality assurance of produced models to ensure adherence to both Murphy Geospatial standards and the project brief. Perform regular and thorough model checks for accuracy, compliance, and the overall integrity of the models. Contribute to model production where required through collaboration with the BIM Manager. Employ a variety of software tools, including Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, ArchiCAD (desirable), AutoCAD, Dynamo, MS Office, among others, to achieve project objectives. Develop modelling programmes with all relevant parties to ensure model completion within the expected timeframes. Ensure compliance with ISO19650 workflows ensuring all relevant documentation such as TIDP’s are completed and kept up-to-date. Set up survey BIM models and integrate survey datasets from multiple sources; adhering to best practice or client’s requests as necessary. Take an active role in the ongoing development of the team and the establishment of Murphy Geospatial BIM standards and workflows. What qualifications/ previous experience do I need? At least 3 years’ experience working with Autodesk Revit in the AEC and/or surveying sector. Experience with 3D point-clouds and Scan-to-BIM workflows A fundamental understanding of building construction, the principles of ‘Survey-to-BIM’, and all relevant industry-standards such as ISO19650. Experience in supply chain communication and project management Strong Autodesk Revit skills Knowledge/experience of measured building surveys and as-built BIM modelling Knowledge/experience of working with Dynamo (preferable) Knowledge/experience in other BIM authoring packages such as Graphisoft ArchiCAD Knowledge/experience of collaboration through BIM360 and Autodesk Construction Cloud What key attributes do I need?
