Powderloop Technology Ltd. specialises in the manufacturing and supply of hardmetal powders for additive manufacturing (AM), laser cladding, and thermal spraying industries. We are committed to delivering sustainable, cost-effective, and high-performance hardmetal powders with reduced turnaround times. Based in Braintree, we offer a wide range of hardmetal powders, including tungsten carbide, chromium carbide, and customised powders for thermal spraying, additive manufacturing, and laser cladding processes.
Role Description
· Design and develop metal or metal-ceramic powders.
· Support and improve powder manufacturing processes.
· Deliver project outcomes in line with agreed schedules and resource allocation.
· Manage and prioritise work plans to align with business targets and changing needs of the business.
· Work closely with the technical team to design new experiments and test systems
· Develop detailed work instructions for manufacturing and testing processes.
· Ensure all development works are fully documented.
· Maintain a safe, clean, and organised approach in all work environments.
· Any other reasonable duties, commensurate with position, to meet business needs.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
· Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and analytically.
· Experience in powder metallurgy, including handling metal or metal-ceramic powders.
· Excellent cross-functional communication skills.
· Prior experience in powder metallurgy, thermal spraying, or metal additive manufacturing is highly desirable.
