An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Diabetes Specialist Nurse to join the Diabetes Specialist Nursing Service in East Dunbartonshire HSCP. The successful candidate will support the Advanced Diabetes Specialist Nurse with managing a highly complex specialist caseload of people with diabetes. They will contribute to the design and delivery of specialist diabetes education and support to adults with diabetes, their families and carers and wider MDT teams across the Primary and Secondary care interface. The successful candidate will act as a resource for expert advice and decision making for MDT colleagues to enable people with complex diabetes related needs to remain in a homely setting. They will also deputise in the absence of the Advanced Diabetes Specialist Nurse for operational management and clinical/professional leadership of the Diabetes Specialist Nursing service. It is essential that applicants have significant experience in diabetes care with a portfolio of evidence demonstrating achievement of relevant specialist diabetes competencies necessary for the role. This includes appropriate post graduate qualifications at masters level.
