This is a great opportunity to join and support the delivery of a crucial strategic project for our SLS business line and Llanberis. As an Instrument Performance Scheduler you will be responsible for implementing lean manufacturing principles, optimising production schedules, and ensuring the efficient manufacture of the IMMULITE XPi, Versacell and spare parts. This role involves coordinating production activities, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining high standards of operational excellence. You will work in partnership with the existing instrument knowledge transfer team to develop best practices in workstation design, and manufacturing flow to ensure a smooth manufacturing ramp up and the subsequent development of a world class manufacturing operation in our Llanberis facility. This role will work 8:30am to 4:30pm. Job Responsibilities: Develop and manage production schedules to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing of the IMMULITE XPi and Versacell along with the manufacture of all spare parts provisions. Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimise production processes and remove waste. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align production schedules with demand forecasts and inventory levels. Monitor and analyse production performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal quality standards. Facilitate training and development programs for production staff on lean methodologies. Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure smooth material flow and inventory management. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues. Prepare and present reports on production performance and improvement initiatives. Provide feedback to the manufacturing and engineering teams to improve product quality and reliability. Effectively communicate with both internal & external suppliers/stakeholders. Be point of contact to escalate issues as required, ensuring consistency and adherence to processes. Participate and lead TS5QDIP meetings, provide accurate and timely reports, and take ownership for the achievement of target KPI's and operational performance for the role. Actively use business systems such as IED, CATSWEB, CERDAAC, SAP, Documentum & Learn4U. Ensuring compliance with QMS and all safety, health and environmental (SHE) legislation. Your Skills & Experience: Experience in Lean principles with the ability to bring theory to reality in a medical device manufacturing environment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in production management software and tools.
