We are working with a mainstream primary school in Smethwick who are seeking a full-time SEND teaching assistant to support in preparing and delivering interventions with small groups and also working on a 1-to-1 basis. This role will be an immediate start, lasting until the end of the academic year but is highly likely to continue into the next academic year 2025/26 and the potential for a permanent role in-school, funding dependent.
You will be supported by the SENCo and the teaching staff from day one with resources on creating and using existing intervention templates. This role will predominantly be working with years 1 to 3. The students have been at the school since reception and are receptive but mostly just require extra support to access the mainstream curriculum.
You will need to have previous in-school experience to be considered for this role; however, formal qualifications will not be required as the school is keen to find the right personality for this long-term position. This role will be working Monday to Friday, during term-time only, with working hours of 8:30am until 3:30pm. You will be paid on a weekly basis with the daily rate starting from £95.29 per day, dependent on experience.
