Your role: We are looking for a Trainee Pensions Technical Consultant to work in our specialise team providing all elements of financial planning incorporating estate and legacy planning, pension planning for both accumulation and access, and other advice needs of our high-net-worth clients. You will be supporting our WFS Specialist Financial Advisers (SFAs) by answering queries, helping formulate the client solution including how to document this in a compliant client file and completing calculations to support the provision of accurate financial advice. The key purpose of the role is to deliver an outstanding level of service to all our customers, and colleagues. You will be handling operational and colleague enquiries, playing a major part in how our customers perceive our service and overall customer experience. This is a great opportunity for someone to develop their technical payroll knowledge, expand their skills and progress their career into Pensions Administration. What you’ll be doing: With training and support, you will learn to update and approve technical factsheets, marketing material, sales documentation and training materials as well as support with the ongoing maintenance and development of a suite of calculators used in the advice process. You’ll work towards becoming a technical subject matter expert on all elements of financial planning incorporating estate and legacy planning, pension planning for both accumulation and access, and other advice needs of our high-net-worth clients. You will support our WFS Specialist Financial Advisers (SFAs) by answering queries, helping formulate the client solution including how to document this in a compliant client file and completing calculations to support the provision of accurate financial advice. We’re looking for: A methodical approach to routine work with a high regard for accuracy and detail Strong mathematical skills and excel experience – this role will involve a lot of calculations and requires a good level of excel competency Determined and resilient approach to the resolution of issues Working towards your Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent Experience in Defined Contribution pensions would be fantastic, however experience within the financial services industry and a willingness to learn would also be great. You care, you can build rapport and demonstrate empathy where appropriate.
