The key function is to support NHS Property Services in delivering building services maintenance and repairs across the NHS to ensure buildings are maintained to the highest standards and to provide a safe and secure environment for visitors, customers, and employees.
Main duties of the job
Able to maintain building electrical systems including emergency lighting, general lighting, fire detection LV services within public buildings. Able to identify faults and carry out repairs in line with safety/technical guidelines. Good communication, numeracy, literacy, working with IT and Office 365 or equivalent.

Job responsibilities
We have a great opportunity for a Maintenance Technician - Electrical. This will be to join our team based in London - St Charles Hospital - Main Building. The starting salary for this role is from £36,000 (depending on experience) plus on-call allowance. This is a permanent, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8am-4pm. This is a mobile role covering North West London.
Requirements for the role:
1. Qualifications - At least one of the below:
* BTEC City & Guilds plus relevant experience and Training.
* Hold level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Electrical Install or Electrical Maintenance.
* Formal apprenticeship or craft trained and registered Approved Electrician.
* City & Guilds (18th edition) Or *Current qualification to the latest standard of BS 7671 City & Guilds.
1. Additional Requirements:
* Driving licence is essential.
* Must be comfortable using technological devices to log jobs.
* On-Call availability.
* Desirable to have industry experience.
* Ability to work alone and/or as part of a wider team as this role will require you to work cohesively with other Technical Disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure compliance in accordance with all NHSPS Health, Safety & Wellbeing Policies, relevant NHSPS Technical Guidance, Process and Procedures, Statutory Regulations, Approved Codes of Practice and any applicable aspects of HTMs.
2. Ensure that new or revised practice and policies are implemented within own work areas.
3. Deliver Scheduled, Reactive and Remedial maintenance services as directed by the PPM planner (CAFM), helpdesk or Technical Services Supervisor, ensuring that operational standards are always maintained.
4. Fault finding, minor repairs or installations and maintaining services and equipment within critical environments.
5. Ability to assess problems to determine the best course of action, this would include complex technical issues and be able to communicate technical and or complex information to various stakeholders.

* Full UK Driving License. City & Guilds 2391 Electrical Installations (or Equivalent).
* City & Guilds 2396 Design, Erection & verification (Or Equivalent).
* IPAF / PASMA license.
* Current CSCS Health & Safety Card Holder.
Experience
* Previous experience working within a buildings maintenance environment.
* Working within the requirements of method statements or permit to work.
* Experience maintaining services to SFG20.
* Previous experience working within awareness of HTM standards.
* Previous experience working with CAFM reporting systems.
