Catalyst Choices CIC are seeking a dedicated and inspiring Service Leader who is passionate about delivering outstanding care and support to individuals living in a residential care home, at our Woodleigh Residential Care Home, based in Warrington.
We are a community interest company who have delivered a range of social care services in Communities and Homes across Warrington and St Helens in their homes for the past 10 years.
The Service Lead role is a full time and permanent position, reporting into the Homes Manager.
Woodleigh is a 39-bed residential care home providing residential, respite and specialist dementia care for older people.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of dementia and extensive experience working alongside individuals. They will lead by example, demonstrating a strong commitment to person-centred and outcome-driven practices. By leveraging their experience and skills, the Service Leader will support Woodleigh attendees in living their best lives, while also driving change by equipping and empowering their team to deliver exceptional care and service.
Duties
1. Lead and direct the operational management of the home, ensuring that available resources are used effectively to enable the provision of a good quality service.
2. Responsibility for day-to-day management of Woodleigh through effective leadership, organisation and supervision of practice.
3. Be an inspiring leader, working with the Homes Manager to create an environment which enables an excellent service to flourish by setting high standards and motivating others, leading by example.
4. Work with the Homes Manager, Advocacy Services, clients, families and commissioners to develop Woodleigh into an Outstanding service.
5. Grow the service provision both reputationally and numerically, filling voids and working closely with local schools, colleges and local authorities.
6. You are responsible for bringing new clients into the service, ensuring all new clients have the right transition process, appropriate care plan and we have a team in place with the right skills to deliver a person-centred outcome-driven service.
7. You are an ambassador for our culture and create an environment that staff are proud to work in – in line with Catalyst’s purpose, vision and values.
8. Support the development your team to deliver outstanding care services, positive outcomes for the people we support.
9. 50% of your time to be spent with clients ensuring quality service delivery and working on best practice, 30% spent directly managing your team, 20% spent supporting the Homes Manager with service governance. Being present and working on best practice, quality, and safety, coaching and mentoring.
10. Provide advice, guidance and decision making to your team in areas of risk, client need and service provision within the limits of delegation.
11. Participate in the on-call management rota to support out of hours across the service portfolios, including weekends, bank holidays and evening working where required. This will be paid to you at an additional payment.
12. Responsibility for recruitment, supervision, and resource management of your service.
13. Maintain up-to-date personnel files for your team including: Review & Reflections, absence records, training requirements and learning & development plans.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £37,000.00 per year
