About the role
We are currently recruiting for a Property Maintenance Surveyor to join our Property Services team. Reporting to the Head of Property Services, the Property Maintenance Surveyor will be responsible for ensuring our customers are provided with the highest level of service and retirement accommodation by undertaking the following:
1. Managing external and internal building and associated service repairs, maintenance, refurbishments and ‘Section 20’ works across the Churchill Estates retirement portfolio, liaising with external consultants and contractors where required.
2. Ensure that developments remain compliant, fit for purpose and maintained to the highest quality standards.
3. Support the operations team with property related queries and processes, maintaining excellent communications and relations with internal customers and stakeholders including the Property Services team, Lodge Managers, Regional and Area Management teams.
4. Undertake on-site property surveys to provide reliable stock condition data for the future asset management and maintenance of the portfolio.
The role of the Property Maintenance Surveyor is operational and the responsibilities of the post may increase in line with the company’s growth or through personal training and development plans.
About you
With Homeowners at the heart of what we do, it’s important that you share our passion for excellent customer service. Your relationship management and communication skills will extend beyond our customers to a broad range of suppliers and contractors and internal customers and stakeholders.
You will be educated to HNC/degree level in a related property construction or property subject and ideally hold, or be working towards, a professional qualification in construction such as RICS or CIOB.
You will demonstrate sound knowledge and experience of construction, property maintenance, Health & Safety, Building Regulations and other building related issues.
The successful person will be highly organised, have excellent IT skills including MS Office applications, an eye for detail and a ‘can-do’ attitude. You will take a proactive and flexible approach to your work and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
