Teacher of Philosophy, Religion and Ethics This is a part time role working two days per week. The post-holder is responsible to the Head of Philosophy, Religion and Ethics. The post commences January 2025. Streatham & Clapham High School (SCHS) seeks to appoint a dynamic and inspirational individual with an enthusiasm for encouraging debate and reflection on the moral, spiritual, and philosophical aspects of life. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching multi-faith PRE from Year 7 to Year 9, and Religious, Philosophical and Moral Issues at GCSE and A-Level. They should be committed to multi-faith Religious Studies, and be able to inspire excellent attainment in public examinations by exhibiting high standards of teaching and learning, and a passion for the subject. The successful candidate will be responsible for advising pupils and parents on progress, giving clear guidance for improvement, assessing, recording, and reporting as required in accordance with the department’s procedures, and participating in parents’ evenings. The successful candidate will prepare students for university applications in this subject area, as well as forming links with appropriate university departments and faculties.
