Covering South UK, this role comes with a car or car allowance and you will be required to undertake a standard DBS.
Following bespoke solution designs, the Deployment Services team is responsible for the onsite deployment of telecoms and IT devices that includes items such as telephone handsets/headsets.
Reporting to the Telecoms Manager, the deployment team will be required to support the setup and full implementation of the approved solution so consistency is maintained throughout the project.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation of telecoms hardware devices on customer sites, installation activities will include, but will not be limited to the following:
* Setup, configuration & installation of cloud telephony
* Networking
* Surveys
* Testing
* Troubleshooting of SIP handsets and networking
* Support the project(s) team and sales in day-to-day duties as and when required to achieve project deployment targets.
* Confidence to tackle problems and help people solve technical issues.
* Implement projects in a timely and professional manner.
* Confidently converse with customers via phone/video conference or on-site meeting to scope technical elements of a project.
* Review and manage applicable project documentation.
* Carry out installation, testing, and training to ensure a smooth deployment so the solution can be signed off by the client.
* Identify and progress additional sales opportunities relating to a project and other offerings.
* Willingness to travel throughout the UK, which may result in spending time away from home when applicable.
* Liaise with third parties, i.e., service providers and IT companies, to assist in project completion and troubleshooting.
Experience and Skills Required
Core Competencies:
* Experience in the setup, configuration & installation of cloud telephony is essential.
* Experience of cloud/hosted telephony, SIP handsets, and IT infrastructure is essential.
* Understanding of basic network terminology, e.g., network routing, IP addressing, VLANs.
* Awareness of telecoms terminology.
* Understanding of services e.g., leased lines, SOGEA, FTTP.
* Full clean UK driving license.
