H&S Coordinator
Greater Manchester
£30,000
Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours a week.
Let’s be frank, managing Health, Safety, Environmental and Training is a lot of work, especially for one person. That’s why they’re looking for you.
The Role
This is a newly created role designed to bring some well needed support to the HSE Manager. You’ll be 50/50 between factory floor and admin. Half the time, you’ll be engaging with the shop floor teams – real conversations, not just clipboard-waving. The other half? Supporting with things like:
* Risk assessments.
* Accident reports
* Training matrices & inductions.
* Environmental and Sustainability plans.
And, because this isn’t just about ticking boxes, you’ll help foster a culture where health and safety is something people want to engage with, not something they feel is done to them.
This food manufacturer has a couple of business units that are worlds apart. It’s not just a quirky fact; it reflects the challenge. One unit has decent H&S engagement already, the other… not so much. That’s where you’ll make a difference.
The Good News
This is a business where senior managers actually get H&S. There’s buy-in from the top, so your efforts won’t hit a wall of resistance.
Yes, there’s plenty to fix – but that’s what makes it interesting. The systems need updating, and the processes need love. If you enjoy taking something a bit neglected and turning it into a well-oiled machine, this is your playground.
About You
A background in food manufacturing is essenial. So if you have experience as a H&S Coordinator, Advisor, Officer or similar, have a solid grasp of health and safety and ideally a NEBOSH certificate then apply below for a confidental conversation.
If you’re a proactive H&S professional who’s fed up with the same old routine and fancies working with a team that’s ready to make real changes, we’d love to hear from you
