Job Overview An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Ward Clerk/Receptionist to join the dynamic Chemotherapy Day Unit team at Frimley Park Hospital. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a genuine passion for supporting patient care in a busy day unit setting. Working 29.5 hours per week, you will be an integral part of the team, supporting both medical and nursing staff by carrying out essential administrative tasks that help ensure the smooth and efficient running of the unit. This is a rewarding role where you’ll contribute directly to the patient experience in a caring and professional environment. Main duties of the job To ensure that all patients and other members of the public and staff are treated in a polite and considerate manner and receive prompt attention when required. To ensure that any telephone messages or enquiries are conveyed and dealt with in a timely and clear manner. To carry out non nursing duties as directed by qualified members of staff and to report to them as required. To ensure that all assigned duties carried out efficiently and effectively in order to ensure the smooth running of the Chemotherapy Day Unit. To be involved in the process of booking patients to the chemotherapy day unit and informing all relevant patients.
