About The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
1. To lead the MRI team on operational basis, ensuring the department is well organised and has appropriate staffing levels to deliver a professional and comprehensive imaging service.
2. Maintain a visible presence with patients and staff, fostering an open culture that values high quality care and sound radiology outcomes.
3. Be a proactive presence in the radiology clinic ensuring patient comfort, care and clinical outcome is always the highest priority.
4. Carry out radiology examinations as part of normal duties.
5. Lead and promote the Quality Standard for Imaging (QSI) Accreditation Scheme.
The successful candidate will be expected to work on a shift basis, working 37.5 hours per week over a 7 day rota during the hospital operating hours. The rota is not fixed, is subject to change in order to meet operational needs and will be required to work weekends and bank holidays in accordance with the rota.
About You
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
1. DCR or BSc in Diagnostic Imaging with HCPC registration ideally with leadership / supervisory qualification/training, ILS and cannulation training and certification.
2. Post Graduate qualification in imaging or working towards it.
3. Extensive experience in MRI including Cardiac MRI with practical experience in team leading, ideally with experience in Mammography, good understanding of RIS/PACS administration and private healthcare sector experience.
4. Evidence of CPD.
5. Knowledge of CQC and Local Radiology Protection Rules.
