We are recruiting a Supported Living Leader in Hatfield and Bedford to support adults with learning disabilities and autism in supported living.
The Leader will work on the frontline 37.5 hours per week across 1 or 2 supported living services in Hatfield / Bedford.
Role Summary:
To ensure the care and welfare of the individuals we support and day to day management of support workers.
Principle Duties:
-To supervise staff to ensure the best quality of life for individuals we support.
-To ensure effective running of service through robust rota management.
-To manage the day-to-day running of the house.
-To promote channels of effective communication between management, staff and individual we support.
-To support staff development and training.
-To provide on-call service.
-To support managers to meet business needs and company ethos.
To supervise staff to ensure the best quality of life for people who use the service.
-Supervision of staff: appraisals, observations, supervision, 1-1’s.
-HR matters including investigation, disciplinary and grievance management.
To ensure effective running of service through robust rota management.
-Manage sickness and absence, cover and service delivery.
To manage the day-to-day running of the house.
-Review and update of the individuals we support documentation including support plans and risk assessments.
-Manage complaints and compliments.
-Challenging poor practice.
-Promote and uphold company values, policy and procedures.
-Management and compliance with KPIs, quality monitoring and service audits.
-Electronic monitoring systems.
-Management of site health and safety.
To provide on-call service.
-Manage all on-call emergencies and escalations for out of hours cover.
-Cover emergencies
Promote channels of communication between staff, service users and management.
-Staff handover.
-Spot inspections of service.
-Staff team meetings.
-Meetings with individuals we support & management meetings.
-Stake holder meetings including health and social care professionals, families and colleagues.
To support staff development and training.
-Complete mandatory and bespoke training to maintain competency and compliance in post.
-Maintain training matrix.
-Medication management and conducting medication competency assessments.
