The role
As a Project Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will operate in support of the lead Project Manager covering specific project functions, deputising for the lead Project Manager or sometimes managing non-complex projects under supervision. The individual will be expected to apply all the central project management competencies to the required level.
Day-to-day, you’ll manage, or part manage tasks as required and contribute to the whole lifecycle from concept through to in-service support. You will also:
1. Procurement - The ability to secure the provision of resource needed for projects from internal and external providers.
2. Requirements Management - Uses negotiation and influencing skills to arrive at agreed schedule of requirements including agreed success criteria.
3. Solution Development – The ability to determine the best means of satisfying requirements within the context of the project initiative’s objectives and constraints.
4. Schedule Management – The process for developing, baselining, and monitoring of an integrated schedule to inform the direction of the project
5. Resource Management – the process of identifying and scheduling the resources (people/facilities/materials etc..) required to implement the programme
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.

Qualifications for the Project Manager
11. Professional Route – Ideally a degree in engineering or project management. Or appropriate accreditation to APM standards.
12. Experiential Route – HNC with appropriate apprenticeship / experience in a relevant engineering or project discipline.
13. Demonstrable knowledge or experience of working with common project tools (MS Office, Project etc.)
