Job overview
This post will work as part of the Jameson divisional senior management team, reporting directly to the managing director, to lead in driving key opportunities across the division to support integrated working across services as well as across physical/mental health services that deliver key improvements for our patients and their carers. It will also enable the division to drive the delivery of national ambitions, in particular those relating to system transformation across mental health and the development and emergence of Primary Care Networks, Integrated Care Partnerships and Provider Collaboratives.
The post will lead the strategy transformation and partnerships team on the development and delivery of new models of care across the system, accountable for the delivery of the full transformation and community partnerships and engagement portfolio, working with key leads within the trust as well as establishing strong external partnership relationships and approaches to integration which join up pathways of care across organisational boundaries.
The post will play an important role in building/managing external relationships across our ICS footprint and will support the managing director in developing the strategy, quality improvement agenda and annual planning for the division.
Main duties of the job
This role also requires significant engagement and working in collaboration with a number of different stakeholders, including ICS leads, commissioners, acute, primary care, and mental health providers as well as the public, voluntary and community sector organisations. The role also will be critical internally in ensuring coordination and join up on key strategic agendas with Goodall division, and in supporting strong links between the Trust’s corporate strategic and integration functions and the division.
The post holder is expected to provide visible leadership and promote high standards by modelling the values and behaviours expected of a senior manager in the NHS. They will have a professional and management line of accountability to the managing director of the Jameson division.
This requires the post holder to provide leadership and facilitation in identifying areas for service improvement and support and facilitate managers, lead clinicians and their teams in delivering better services.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
* Accountable for the delivery of system transformation for the division.
* Work with service areas within the Division to develop and lead long-term strategic plans to improve corporate services efficiency across the NHS.
* Provide subject matter expertise internally and externally on effective services and how to implement change to deliver the outcomes.
* Contribute to performance improvement, taking a lead for identified areas where agreed.
* Form strong relationships with colleagues within the Trust to share information, identify where existing work can be used or adapted and avoid duplication of work.
* Be a full and effective contributor to Senior Management Team meetings and other governance forums.
* Communicate highly sensitive, complex and contentious information to a range of internal and external stakeholders.
* Use persuasion, negotiation and motivational skills to influence key decision making and maintain professional communication at all times when dealing with sensitive and contentious issues.
* Support the development of an ‘organisational learning’ culture by leading on the development of structures and processes to enable organisational learning.

Person specification
Education
* Educated to a Master's Degree or equivalent professional qualification or relevant experience.
* Evidence of ongoing professional development.
* Post Graduate Degree in management or equivalent years of experience.
* Substantial recent senior management experience and relevant post-graduate experience.
* A track record of success within the NHS at a senior level.
* Significant experience in managing complex change including public consultation.
* Experience in representing services at a senior level and with other agencies.
* Demonstrable experience of effective partnership working with other organisations at a senior level.
* Significant experience in service transformation, developing care pathways and new models of care.
* Experience in involving service users and carers in service redesign and improvement.
* Experience of tendering for new services.
