Main Duties of the Job
General secretarial duties will include the typing of correspondence, clinic letters, discharge summaries, dealing with telephone enquiries, and supporting the various referral to treatment targets. We are looking for a highly motivated, flexible, and hard-working person.
Candidates will need excellent communication skills, the ability to work as part of a team, to work under minimal supervision, and the ability to meet deadlines. Previous secretarial experience/experience of working in an office environment is desirable.

Experience
* At least 2 years experience in a healthcare environment in a PA or similar role e.g. as a Team Medical Secretary
* Coordinating and managing a team workload
* A good understanding of the principles of data quality
* Using a variety of Microsoft office packages including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Using Trust based information systems such as PAS
* Diary Management
* Organising and administrating meetings
* Prioritising and managing workload to meet deadlines
* Direct contact with patients either face to face or by telephone
* Using other Trust based information systems such as PPM for a variety of purposes e.g. reporting or patient pathway management
* Interpreting simple reports
* Organising travel

Qualifications
* Audio typing/word processing skills (RSA III) or equivalent experience
* GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent e.g. AMSPAR Level 2 qualification) in English and Maths
* ECDL
