Service Architect with Security Focus Active Security Clearance is Essential Contract Hybrid – 3 Days a week in the office in London or Bristol Outside IR35 £600-£700pd depending on experience Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Service Architect who possesses a strong foundation in service architecture complemented by specialised knowledge in security practises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing services that integrate security measures from the outset while also contributing to the establishment and operationalization of our Security Operations Centre (SOC). Key Responsibilities: Develop general service architecture designs that meet business and technical requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security best practises are integrated into service designs. Provide expertise in setting up a SOC and/or designing a SOC, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practises. Understand and articulate the differences between handling security incidents and regular incidents, and document this in design processes and protocols Participate in the evaluation of tools and technologies that enhance service security and efficiency. Key Qualifications: Proven experience in service architecture with a focus on IT service management. Active Security Clearance is Essential Familiarity with the design and operationalization of a Security Operations Centre (SOC) or a deep understanding of security incident handling. Demonstrated ability to document and articulate security processes clearly. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Relevant certifications in service architecture or security (e.g., TOGAF, CISSP, Security) are a plus
