Hope Sentamu Learning Trust has fourteen academies located within York, Hull and North Yorkshire. Our Trust comprises six secondary, six primary and two alternative provision academies.
We are seeking to appoint a Director of English who is aligned with our mission to provide environments where children and young people can thrive and our values Respect, Teamwork and Kindness. We are very excited to offer this opportunity to enhance the provision across the Trust and play a key role in ensuring that we support our pupils, colleagues and school communities to be given opportunities so that they can live life in all its fullness, now and in the future.
This role will lead on the development and delivery of the Trust English Strategy, evolving and advancing our provision, monitoring and evaluating its efficacy. This role will involve cross-phase working with English Leaders in all our settings, providing guidance, leadership and support. We are looking for a candidate who has had a successful track record in improving outcomes for disadvantaged pupils. Over the last two years there has been significant development in relation to English in the Trust in KS4 and alignment of the Trust wide English curriculum. Experience of teaching or learning on the Eduqas syllabus would be an advantage.
