The Role:
We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and motivated Teaching Assistant to join this dedicated team. As a Teaching Assistant at this School, you will work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver personalised learning plans that meet the individual needs of the pupils. Your role will involve supporting students both in the classroom and through one-to-one sessions, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their educational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide tailored support to pupils with SEMH, ASC, and associated learning needs.
2. Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
3. Support pupils' emotional and social development, helping them build self-confidence and resilience.
4. Collaborate with teaching staff, therapists, and parents to ensure consistent and effective support.
5. Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
6. Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
7. Contribute to school life, including extra-curricular activities and events.

Essential Requirements:
8. Experience working with children with SEMH and/or ASC, either in a school or alternative setting.
9. A genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of children with special needs.
10. Ability to work as part of a team and use initiative when required.
11. Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, flexible attitude.
Desirable Requirements:
12. Relevant qualifications in child development, education, or special needs support (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification).
13. Experience working in a special school environment.
14. Knowledge of SEMH, ASC, and associated conditions.
