In this role, you will be responsible for the build, assembly, and installation of friction welding machinery. This position involves working with mechanical subassemblies such as spindles, clamps, and pneumatic systems, while collaborating closely with design and engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery.Key Responsibilities:Fitting and assembling various machine unit assemblies (e.g., Spindles, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Lubrication systems)Reading and interpreting mechanical assembly drawings, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematicsInstalling hydraulic, lubrication, and pneumatic systemsPerforming onsite installations, upgrades, and repairs at customers' premises, both in the UK and worldwideOperating machine shop equipment such as millers, lathes, and grindersCommunicating issues and solutions to the build and engineering teamsInspecting parts using precision measuring toolsParticipating in upfront project planning meetings and contributing to continuous improvement initiativesRole Requirements:Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a teamProficiency in reading mechanical drawings and fluid schematicsManual dexterity and mechanical proficiency, with attention to detailAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionFlexibility to work overtime when requiredMust hold a valid UK driving license and passport for international travelExperience Needed:Mechanical Engineering qualifications (City & Guilds or BTEC)Previous experience as a Machine Tool Fitter or working in bespoke machine buildingFamiliarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication systemsExperience using machine shop equipmentProblem-solving skills and a passion for continuous improvement are highly desirableWhat Our Client Offers:Competitive salaryOpportunity to travel internationallyA dynamic working environment with opportunities for growthFlexibility and support for ongoing professional development
