Tree Surveyor – Oxfordshire - £42,000 DOE + Professional Development
The Job:
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Tree Surveyor to join a professional arboriculture team in Oxfordshire. In this role, you’ll conduct detailed tree inspections and risk assessments, advise on tree health and safety, and contribute to the long-term management of valued green spaces.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Carrying out comprehensive tree surveys and visual risk assessments across public and private land
2. Producing detailed reports on tree condition, safety, and recommended interventions
3. Using GIS and other digital tools to maintain accurate tree records
4. Advising on tree maintenance, pruning, and removal in line with BS3998 standards
5. Supporting the planning and execution of tree planting schemes
6. Providing expert advice on tree pests, diseases, and site management
7. Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver tree-related projects

The Candidate:
1. A recognised qualification in Arboriculture
2. Relevant NPTC or Lantra certification for tree surveying
3. Good understanding of urban tree management, pests, and diseases
4. Proficiency in using IT systems and GIS mapping tools
5. Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
6. Full, clean UK driving licence
7. Experience leading small teams or contractors on site
8. Familiarity with health and safety regulations and risk management practices
