Morning Cleaner Band B: £12.85 per hour (reviewed each April to reflect the NJC pay award)
Hours: 7am to 9am daily Permanent contract 10 hours per week, term-time (39 weeks). Opportunity of overtime for cover, school holidays, evenings and weekends.
Following a restructure of how we meet the cleaning needs of our busy secondary school in Balsall Common, we are looking for two morning cleaners. We strive to create an excellent environment for our students and staff to work in, and these new roles have been created to ensure the school is at its best at the start of each school day. By recruiting our own cleaners into our in-house site team, we are looking for the successful candidates to become established members of our school community, forging excellent working relationships with all staff.
The successful candidates are expected:
1. To undertake specific daily, weekly and periodic tasks in their designated area.
2. To undertake ad hoc tasks that are not specifically covered within their rota but require attention in order to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
3. Make themselves available to support the team by working ad hoc overtime when required.
4. Schedule their tasks to be considerate of the staff and students arriving at the start of the school day.
About you:
1. Experience of cleaning, ideally in a school setting.
2. Understanding of the Health & Safety requirements pertinent to the role.
3. Positive work ethic that contributes to the culture of the school.
