Rotork has a requirement for an experienced NACE qualified Paint Inspector to validate our paint processes, carry out inspection and ensure our painted product is compliant to Rotork Manufacturing Instructions and Customer Specifications.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Responsibilities
* Ensure a safe work environment
* Schedule project inspections in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines
* Monitor the application(s) of a variety of industrial coatings
* Perform extensive plant coating surveys according to client and company procedures and specifications
* Recommend corrective actions to engineering for evaluation
* Assess conditions of internal and external coatings on various Actuators and Gear boxes
* Observe and record that blasting operations are in compliance with procedures and specifications
* Ensure the equipment is function tested and in optimum operating condition for the project
* Mentor blaster and coaters on procedures, equipment and specifications
* Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
* NACE Level 1 or equivalent
* I.O.S.H. Qualification in Risk assessing (desirable)
Background and Experience
* Has “expert knowledge” of corrosion, surface preparation, cleanliness, environmental conditions, test instruments, coating mixtures, and safety
* Can undertake unsupervised non-destructive and destructive inspections of liquid and non-liquid coatings applied to any substrate
* Has demonstrated technical knowledge and problem-solving ability regarding issues that may arise on site and is capable of supervising other coating inspectors
