Salary: £39,018 - £41,072 per year
Hours: 40 hours per week
We are looking for an Electrician to join our team in Glasgow. You will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance repairs and certification as required for these works. You will work with other operatives to ensure the work is done to a high standard but also will be lone working; therefore, using your own initiative is essential. Full training will be provided along with a company van and tools for company use. Based at Sanctuary Property Services, Glasgow, you will cover sites across the county.
The role of Electrician will include:
* Inspecting and testing of void properties, ensuring safety and compliance
* Maintaining electrical installations in void properties, ranging from light fitting to partial/full rewires
* Monitoring and maintaining good levels of van stock and ensuring tools and equipment are kept in a suitable condition
* Completing all paperwork and producing certification associated with works undertaken
Skills and experiences:
* To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to NVQ/SVQ Level 3, 18th Edition - 2nd Amendment, BS5839-1, BS5839-6 or currently undertaking the qualification. If you have a lower level qualification along with practical experience and would be prepared to undertake this qualification with the support of Sanctuary Group, we would still welcome an application.
* Current Certificate to C&G2391 or equivalent standard in testing and inspection
* Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
* Analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
* Good communication and interpersonal skills along with a customer-focused approach
* This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence.
As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted.
