Revenue Accountant: Exciting Opportunity We are recruiting on behalf of our client, who is a multi-award-winning antivirus and security company based in Fareham, Hampshire. They pride themselves on advanced online protection and offer a wide range of security tools and applications to keep their users safe online. They are seeking a revenue accountant to join its finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant with strong analytical skills to play a key role in revenue recognition, reconciliation, and process improvement. Key Responsibilities: Revenue Recognition & Accounting: Accurately record revenue transactions in line with FRS102 and company policies. Conduct daily reconciliations of merchant processing accounts. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely revenue reporting. Cash Flow & Reconciliation Analysis: Analyse actual cash received vs. expected revenue to identify trends and variances. Reconcile revenue data with third-party systems for accuracy. Investigate and resolve discrepancies between recorded revenue and system reports. Manage revenue cash flow forecasting to support business needs. Work with the billing team to minimise order-to-cash times. Perform regular cash sweeps of merchant accounts. Process Improvement & Compliance: Implement process improvements to enhance revenue tracking efficiency. Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulatory requirements. Provide insights and recommendations for improving revenue collection strategies. Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly revenue reports for stakeholders. Support forecasting and budgeting with revenue trend analysis. Model the financial implications of merchant processing agreements. Who We're Looking For: Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent commercial acumen and attention to detail. Advanced spreadsheet and IT literacy. Confident communication skills with the ability to present financial data clearly. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks. Flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced environment. Experience with Xero and SaaS businesses is desirable. Highly organised with a continuous improvement mindset. Whats on Offer?
