Technical Manager
Location: Cambridgeshire
Salary: £55,000.00 Per annum + Package
Working Hours: Monday to Friday
Based from an office in Fulborn
25 days holiday + BH
Our client is a leading FM Service Provider worldwide who is now looking to recruit a Technical Manager to work across a Cambridgeshire contract.
Role Overview:
The Technical Manager will have overall responsibility and accountability for the day-to-day operational activity. The Technical Manager is responsible for all activities within the site and will oversee all services within the property, whether directly delivered by the Operational team or contractors.
A pragmatic yet commercial approach to issue resolution is required to ensure excellent customer service levels are always maintained, with the Technical Manager recognizing when an item is outside their ability to influence and engaging with the appropriate party to ensure swift resolution.
Responsibilities:
1. Monitor the day-to-day planned and reactive operational activity.
2. Manage the service delivery team across the site, ensuring all available resources work collaboratively and in accordance with the contract.
3. Support the Account Director with the operational performance of the contract.
4. Develop meaningful and sustainable relationships with the client and related client organizations.
5. Ensure site-based personnel manage the contract to the agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) as they apply to technical and related services.
6. Manage risks relating to safety, health, environment, and quality through the use of risk assessments, PPE, training, and company procedures to ensure a safe working environment for both employees and clients.
7. Review monthly audit checks demonstrating legislative compliance within the scope of service delivery streams and escalate to the portfolio director as necessary.
8. Work with the on-site teams in planning, implementing, and monitoring the standards of all works relating to the PPM schedule and reactive works.
9. Establish, operate, and maintain procedures for the effective planning, organization, control, monitoring, and review of the services.
10. Ensure compliance with all statutory and company procedures across the stakeholder groups.
What We Are Looking For:
1. Technical background essential - Mechanical & Electrical Engineering.
2. Balanced ability to think clearly in extreme circumstances.
3. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook.
4. Experience of using a CAFM system.
5. Good experience and track record in working in Facilities Management.
6. Good knowledge of building services and legislation.
7. Professional qualifications and background.
