Job Summary
This is a student program assistant internship position with the Auburn entrepreneurship team at the New Venture Accelerator (Suite 101, Research and Innovation Center, 540 Devall Drive). This position will assist with planning, promoting, administering, and managing community engagement activities.
Essential Functions
In support of the New Venture Accelerator community engagement initiatives, assists in planning, promoting, administering, and managing community-based entrepreneurship programming.
* Interacts with community-based business leaders, New Venture Accelerator staff, speakers, event attendees, and City of Auburn & Opelika economic development personnel.
* Teams with other New Venture Accelerator staff members involved in event activities.
* Assists business coach in helping local residents start or grow a business.
* Assists in research and report preparation on entrepreneurial-related topics.
* Works with the following software packages: Microsoft Office and other tools (Teams, Planner, Co-pilot, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Adobe Creative Cloud, Qualtrics, and Salesforce.
* Fulfills responsibilities and resolves routine questions and problems with minimal supervision.
* Can complete assignments and responsibilities where required outcomes are defined, but methods and procedures may vary based on the student’s creativity and judgment.
* Seeks out and confers with supervisory personnel on issues and priorities.
Minimum Qualifications
* Currently enrolled student at Auburn University
* Experience in the use of MS Word, PowerPoint, & Excel
* Must be able to commit at least 10 hours to the position
* Must NOT be entering your last semester of school
Preferred Qualifications
* Bilingual in English and Spanish
Pay Rate
$12.00-$15.00 per hour
