An exciting opportunity has arisen within the community nursing team of Badenoch & Strathspey to job share with the present Band 7 District Nurse Team Lead. Working 14.5hrs a week (2 days) this is a developmental post offered under AFC Band 7 Annex 21with the successful applicant expected to complete the Post graduate Diploma Specialist Practitioner District Nurse within 4 years. This is a demanding, specialised role, requiring high levels of professional skills to work efficiently and effectively. The successful candidate will share the management of a team of 14.5 dedicated Nurses, and HCSWs. Influencing quality and high standard of patient care they should be self-motivated, have an in-depth knowledge of Community Nursing, criteria, processes and NHSH policies, with the ability to support the design and delivery of new models and pathways of care within the integrated team services.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
