We are currently recruiting for a Quality Control Technician to join our team at our Linford Block Plant, which is located close to Stanford-le-Hope in Essex. The site is easily accessible from Tilbury, Gravesend, Rochester, Gillingham, Dartford, Purfleet on Thames, Grays, Wickford, Southend-on-Sea, Basildon, Brentwood, Billericay and the surrounding areas. Our Linford Plant manufactures sustainable, tough and energy efficient aerated blocks that we see all around us, whether this be in our homes or our work environments, you are never too far away from one of our products. Main ResponsibilitiesReporting directly to the Technical & Quality Manager, the successful Quality Control Technician will focus on all quality aspects for the manufacture and production of concrete Aircrete blocks at a site-based level, this role is there to provide support to the site operational team as well as the central Quality Management with the day-to-day QA/QC testing associated to Aircrete block manufacture. Undertake testing to ensure that raw materials comply with the target specifications Ensure that employees working in production are aware of the quality requirements, capable of controlling the process and responsible for managing their own quality standards. Undertake strengths and density tests to ensure compliance with relevant standards to ensure excellent customer service via quality. Develop and monitor continuous improvement programs, aiming to reduce the number of defects and improve levels of quality. Review of statistical data from the production lines to identify quality problems. To analyse the data and recommend changes to production processes or quality controls to eliminate the problems.
