An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Cellular Pathology Department for an Associate Practitioner HCSW Band 4.
We are a busy routine Histology and Non-Gynae Cytology department processing 38,500 specimens per year. The Associate Practitioner role is primarily to facilitate the throughput of histology and diagnostic Cytology specimens through the laboratory and on to the reporting consultants.
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to play an active role in the department's continuing development.
Main duties of the job
This includes participation with dissection, embedding, and section cutting, together with supporting the special stains and immunohistochemistry sections of the laboratory.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

* Level 4 science qualification (e.g. Biomedical Sciences HNC or equivalent)

* Biomedical or other Science degree
