Variety and Challenge. Growth and Opportunity.
In the retail business, we move fast. We’re always adapting, evolving and innovating. The fast pace brings variety and challenge, along with continued growth and opportunity.
Welcome to TJX, a Fortune 100 company and the world’s leading off-price retailer of clothing and homeware worldwide. Our retail chains include TK Maxx in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Poland, Austria, and the Netherlands, as well as HomeSense and tkmaxx.com in the United Kingdom; TK Maxx in Australia; TJ Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods, Sierra Trading Post, and Homesense, as well as tjmaxx.com and sierratradingpost.com in the United States; and Winners, HomeSense, and Marshalls in Canada. In 2018, TJX had over $35 billion in sales, more than 4000 shops and 249,000 Associates.
The eCommerce team at TK Maxx works hard to deliver an exciting online shopping experience, encouraging customers to buy products before they sell out. We operate across three transactional sites in the UK, Germany, and Austria, balancing a European outlook with the need to engage a local audience with relevant product and content.
As part of the department, you’ll collaborate with partners in the broader eCommerce team and other functions within the business daily. You’ll contribute to developing strategy and delivering our tactics. You’ll need to balance creative thinking with a sharp commercial focus. Our off-price business moves faster than many other retailers, so you need to be agile and ready for every challenge that comes your way.
During the 12-month programme, you’ll work across key teams within the eCommerce department, including:
1. Online Trading Team: Works in close partnership with the Buying and Merchandising community to define our European eComm product strategies and maximise online sales.
2. Online Content Team: Responsible for delivering online trading and brand plans through the development, build, and execution of all web content across our European sites.
3. Site Optimisation Team: Optimises all onsite customer journeys through site analysis, insight, and A/B testing to maximise sales, service, and conversion.
4. UX Design Team: Ensures the overall success of the experience when customers use our digital products through user research and data analysis.
5. Digital Product Development Team: Defines requirements and scope of ecommerce IT projects and enhancements, partnering with the UX Design team.
6. Digital Operations Team: Drives efficiencies, cost savings, and customer-facing improvements across the end-to-end journey for ecommerce products and orders.
Outside of Ecommerce, you will also connect with other areas of the business to further expand your insight and experience throughout the year.
