Here at LDMS it is all about teamwork. We work in small agile teams, where the focus is on the frequent delivery of valued features and improvements to our customers and stakeholders. Requirements for these features typically originate via the parent business functions to support changes to the existing account portfolios, or from migration projects to enable the onboarding of new external clients. We also progress the resolution of issues raised via our Service Delivery team.
As an Oracle Engineer you will work with multifunctional teams helping to develop, deliver and support bespoke financial systems for high profile clients across EMEA. You will be expected to uphold engineering best practice and quality. We’re looking to speak with mid level engineers for this role.
We integrate with modern, but proven, technology and leverage as much automation as possible, to make sure we can deliver great products without unexpected surprises.
We embrace the DevOps paradigm by engineering, designing, building, testing, releasing, and providing ongoing support for our own code, ensuring end-to-end ownership and seamless collaboration across all stages of the development lifecycle.
Requirements
This role requires an Oracle Engineer with demonstrable experience and proficiency in the use of Oracle PL/SQL. You will possess the ability to create and tune complex SQL statements, as well as analysing data and modelling data structures.
We will expect you to support the refinement and clarification of user stories, and make well-reasoned design decisions. When tasks are large you are able to scope this down into smaller, actionable parts allowing the team to accurately manage and estimate work and deliver complex features.
You adjust well to shifting priorities when necessary, supporting the work of your peers through pairing, code review, cross-functional collaboration and providing mentoring/coaching as appropriate.
Whilst we see great value in bringing people in with specific skills, we also realise that sometimes your background may not perfectly overlap with what's listed below.
